The launch of an absolute return global dividend fund has been announced by French giant Amundi. It will be managed by its affiliate BFT Gestion.
The firm has claimed that the ‘Amundi Funds Absolute Global Dividen’ is the first absolute return fund to invest in global dividends. Warin Buntrock of BFT Gestion will run the Luxembourg-domiciled fund.
It aims to exploit potential discounts in the dividend market through analysing the discrepencies between what companies pay compared to what is being predicted for future market dividend payments.
An annual gross yield of 7% over 3 years, is the funds’ generation aims, over a minimum investment horizon of three years. The fund will not offer any performance or capital guarantees.
