A rare opportunity for a skilled Managing Director to join a privately owned and fast growing financial services company.

We are seeking a leader to oversee a thriving Luxembourg office of a skilled fund administration business of over 200 staff, providing fund administration, depositary, and AIFM services to PE and RE Clients across the world. The role will bring you into contact with a global management team, whereby you will co-author the development and growth of the business, and innovate as necessary. On the client side, you will be generating quality leads and leading in significant pitch processes.

As a senior figurehead in the Luxembourg Funds Industry, you will be responsible for enhancing the firm’s profile in the real estate and private equity fund sector in Luxembourg.

Main Functions of the role:

Client Relations:

  • Highly client-facing position with ultimate responsibility for the delivery of services to current and new clients. Together with your senior management team, you will ensure that clients across the firm are consistently well-serviced and happy.
  • Acting as a director of certain strategic client entities, and ultimate responsibility for key reporting, statutory and regulatory deadlines.
  • Negotiating fees and scope of services with prospective clients.

Team Management & Internal:

  • Motivating and inspiring a management team of 4-5 directors, (fund administration, depositary and AIFM service heads), and numerous managers, administrators and accountants within the firm. Providing vision and effective strategy for the business.
  • Bringing excellent private equity and real estate technical expertise to ensure staff have the support and technical know-how to manage clients. In time, passing this down through the business, further developing standards, and ensuring mid-levels are empowered to continue this development forwards.
  • Responsibility for actively managing communication at the operational level with other company jurisdictions, including the coordination of business development efforts with heads of departments and business development professionals overseas.


The Head of the Office is also responsible for driving profitability, managing margins, and staying on top of forecasts, sales and budgets.

The right candidate will oversee the operations effectively – challenging existing processes, identifying out of scope work, and driving further automation.

Compliance and Regulatory:

  • Ensuring compliance by the business to all CSSF and other statutory requirements.
  • Knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations and CSSF requirements relating to Luxembourg PSFs, funds and SPVs.

Profile Required:

  • Strong background in Real Estate, Private Equity, and Debt, with both open and closed-ended funds, of at least 15+ years.
  • A background that began with an accounting, finance, or related degree, and evolved from accounting and finance at the lower levels. (We will also consider candidates who didn’t start their career in accounting, providing their profile is close enough in the later years).
  • Direct, senior experience of leading a Luxembourg professional services firm.
  • An understanding of the legal and regulatory regimes applicable to Luxembourg PSFs and Luxembourg funds and SPVs, bringing a wealth of problem-solving skills.
